Old City edge — Mamilla and Jaffa Gate
Hotels like the Mamilla Hotel and the David Citadel sit minutes from Jaffa Gate, the main walking entrance to the Old City. Streets are wide enough for taxis and hotel pickups are simple — a good base for first-time visitors who want the Old City on foot and everything else by taxi.
City Center and Ben Yehuda
The pedestrian streets of the City Center are walkable, restaurants are close, and taxis are always available a few steps away on the ring roads. It is also the most convenient base for train connections to the airport.
